<- 1 Charm -> <- Cast A Spell -> Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Advanced Screening [13 Jul 2009|10:17pm] fatal_shock Tonight was the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince advanced screening. My mouth started aching today and my face swelled to epic proportions but it would have taken a lot more than that to stop me from going. The night went something like this: 4:30pm - Mum and I line up, there are more people than expected 5:30pm - Myspace employees and security guards start setting up tables and equipment 5:45pm - The line starts moving forward and we have to go through 4 stages before entering the cinema: 1. Bag check 2. Ticket check 3. Hand in electronic devices 4. Security scan 5:50pm - Enter the cinema, pick up free popcorn and find seats 6pm - Best dressed competition 6:15pm - Movie starts with an apology from the 3 main actors for not being able to attend. (6:40pm - Go to the toilet, walk past security filming pirate copies) ( SPOILERS )

<- Cast A Spell -> Surgery and Harry Potter [12 Jul 2009|12:57pm] fatal_shock So I got my wisdom teeth out on Friday but so far things have been going pretty well. I'm not very good with the whole idea of being knocked out, but it wasn't so bad in the end. The only thing I had any real issue with was being numb for so long. I know most people would say being numb is a good thing but I honestly would have preferred the pain (which there has been hardly any of since the topical anesthetic wore off). My brother had one of his taken out a couple of weeks ago and he was whinging and throwing up blood for 5 days. I was eating chips and bread less than 24 hours after I got out of the hospital. I don't know if it's just because he's a boy, or if I had a better surgeon... In other news - I SEE HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE TOMORROW!! I'm so excited, and still surprised I won tickets. I have to turn up to the movie theatre a couple hours beforehand to line up and hand in any electrical devices capable of recording - phone, camera etc. Mum bought a bunch of HP related candy from Alivans for the event. I think it ended up costing $32 AUD, which is a bit ridiculous. I was going to fully dress up but I forgot my tie, wand, button up shirt and everything at Gatton. I do have some HP badges and my Slytherin scarf with me though but there's no way I'm going to win the dress up competition. I'll post pictures and everything on Tuesday.
