Ahem...
Today was pretty fun. I stayed up all night finishing Algebraic Topology homework and well, that's done for now. Won't have to think about it for a while. Afterwards Steve, Aja, and I played hookie. We went around town and did nothing but math. I got this shirt that says "Will Try Anything Twice." I might wear it when I teach one day. Or not.
I did have fun making two and three sheeted covers. All during lecture today I was formulating four sheeted covers of the figure eight knot.
uhhhhhhhh...
My hemp pops are here! And I must say they arent very tasty. Haha. So much for hype. I actually am getting a double package. I got a note on my door Wednesday saying that my delivery is here, but my stuff was nowhere to be seen, so I called UPS and the hemp pop manufacturer [www.hemppop.com] and they sent me a new package. Well, two days later the initial package finally comes. Oops. Anyway, tomorrow I'll wear my towelie "wanna get high" shirt to commemorate it.
So things that has happened to me since I last updated: 1. Got stuck in an elevator for 45-50 minutes. Don't jump up and down on the elevator at Boyd. 2. Incidentally ate bacon [a few were sprinkled on my PizzaHut pizza.] 3. Got my butt handed to me at tennis by Sheree. I was still aching three days later. 4. Gave two easy tests in Calculus. I have to regulate next time. Gonna aim for a 45 average. 5. Tried winging a lecture in Calculus. Got nothing accomplished. All they learned in class was that I am an idiot.

Hello.
Not much happening. Yeah.
I went to Atlanta on the 4th with a couple of friends to see a baseball game. It was pretty fun and there were fireworks at the end. The whole trip cost me less than $20. Mwahaha.
At the gates, we were trying to get $1 tickets but those sold out fast. So we just hung around a bit at the ticket lines and we found some other Cubs fans to talk to. They bought tickets but found other people selling tickets that are better. So they gave us their tickets. Free entrance!
At the game, we had standing room only tickets, which weren't too bad. I had a good view of the field and heck, I got in free so it wasn't bad. Nachos were $5.50 but it was worth it. I didn't get much chips but the salsa and cheese was the real deal, no cheap imitation stuff. I also bought a $4 dasani water bottle.
I got plenty of pics of the stadium as well as some of the fireworks. I hate taking pics of fireworks because it's all anticipation. If you click in real time, you'll get nothing. Haha.
So yeah, I updated Jen. Don't expect another for a while.

Hi. Did anyone miss me? Or for that matter, did anyone notice I was gone? lol
Lots to talk about, so this entry will be long. So I apologize in advance.
Saturday morning, I crammed as much of my take home final as I could. I think I did aobut 65% of it correctly, with 15% debatable and 5% bullcrap. Then about 10% I just didn't do. Ah well. Also, after waiting for so long, I finally told Amazon.com that I wanted a refund. I bought my books on 19 APRIL and on 07 MAY it still wasn't in my possession. grrr.
After that, my dad came to my apartment to pick me up. We first went to a McDonalds where I got a fish sandwich, which was very small and nasty and not at all very satiating. I also got large fries and a Dr. Pepper. Later we went to Lowe's Home Improvement. It was so boring. My dad was there to look into getting carpeting for their living room and also to get a strainer for the bathroom sink. But before we went to Lowe's, we got lost and ended up at the mall. I took that opportunity to go by the music store to get a Dashboard Confessional CD! :D Here's a sampler of their music: For Justin. Right click, save file as... When I got to my parents' house, I was greeted with a hyper Brandon running around the hallways. He was too cute. He seemed thinner than last I saw him, but I guess I was just expecting a big chubby baby. His head is more in proportion to his body now, and he talks a lot more.
The rest of the night was pretty much a wash. I gave my mom her birthday present a day early, which was that big bible [Genesis to Revalations>. I spent most of it running around with Brandon. I didn't get many pictures but here are a few. Brandon and my brother and sister went outside where one of our cats had babies about a month ago. Brandon has a dog named noodle, so he went up to them and started saying, "Noodle". When they ran away, he squatted down, patted his thighs, and clicked his tongue trying to get them to come, which was so cute. When one of them finally came to him, he picked the cat up and cuddled. Here are pics: Brandon with boo boo 1 Brandon with boo boo 2 Brandon with boo boo 3 He dubbed the kitty "boo boo". Hehe. Brandon really got attached to the kitty, so my sister said the next time they come up they'll bring him with them to Panama City. The kitty's still a little young to be separated from the mother, and plus no shots yet, etc. I'll probably take care of that in a week or so.
After barely getting much sleep, We went to church on Sunday morning. It was first communion so the mass took ages and the church was packed with people. After mass, we went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. The clasp on the emerald necklace my brother got for my mother broke, so we got that replaced. Then we met up with one of my sister's friends and went to Goody's. She bought a shirt and a skirt, I think. I bought 3 shirts and two shorts. The shorts were mesh and were navy blue and black. The three shirts I got were: a blue shirt with dark purple letters saying, "Not the brightest crayon in the box, are we?" a black shirt with white letters saying, "If you don't like my attitude, then stop reading my shirts." a black shirt with red and white letters saying, "Gardener available. Desperate Housewives wanted." Hehe. After that, we went to a local Mexican restaurant and had late lunch. It was pretty awesome. I haven't been there since my family went there to celebrate my undergrad graduation in December 03 so it was very nice. Then I noticed there was a Movie Gallery beside the restaurant so I borrowed four movies [they were "rent 3 movies and get the 4th free">
We got back right after that because we didn't want to leave my mom with Brandon alone for too long. I think I took a nap when we got home. Then later that night, I chased him around the house again. Oh yeah, my sister was eating a Klondike sandwich bar and it fell on the floor, so I started laughing really loud. Brandon was in the room and looked at me funny like he was saying, "Don't laugh at my mommy!" But then he looked over to his mom and saw that she was laughing as well, so he started laughing, too. It was too cute. Oh yeah, he heard my mom fart earlier in the day and he said, "Ewww." I think that was earlier that Saturday while I was still on the way home because I didn't witness it; my sis just told me about it. I would have been rolling on the floor if I was there.
Later, he saw a cockroach on the floor and started freaking! That struck me as odd because in Rugrats, the babies there loved bugs, etc. Shrug. But I had fun with it and kinda teased him. hehe. Oh and he does this thing where if you're sitting down, he'll run up to you and fling his arms around your neck and give you a glomp. He did it to my sister and my brother, but not to me :(. sigh.
When his dad got back from Atlanta to our house at about 2 AM they left. They both had to go to work that morning, so thats why they didn't spend another night. So after a brief farewell, I went online for a bit and talked to some people about the house cup challenge. I'm really sorry that I didn't get a chance to participate in this one, but as you read above, I was kinda occupied. I can't say I would have done differently if I had to do it again, but I do apologize for not attempting to create a banner.
Monday was spent mostly on playing Sims2. Hehe. One of my characters maxed out all his skills. And my teen's starting to annoy me. He keeps having a B average in school, even though he always does his homework and never misses the bus to school. Shrug. But Sims is mad fun though. I promised Nate I'd make a character and name it after him, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Tuesday was boring. Oh yeah, when you wake up and you go to the bathroom to brush your teeth, make sure that you're awake enough to notice that you grab the right toothbrush. I grabbed someone else's and when I noticed, I gagged. :( After mouthwashing later, I felt fine.
Yesterday was more Sims. Hehe. My brother took in a cat that his co-worker got for her son, but the son didn't like it too much. So today we brought it to a local pet shop. My brother knows the owner there well so they agreed to take it in to find it a good home. Oh, the shop was downtowon so I had to drive through lots of lanes and one ways and etc. My brother told me to park curbside, which meant I had to parallel park. I told him where he could go. [Hint: warm place, starting with H>. I drove around the block and found a parking lot to park in and told him to walk. Just fyi: I'm terrified of parallel parking. After that, we went to a Chinese restaurant and got some seafood. Don't ask, but their buffet has steamed crab legs, mussels in white wine sauce, and shrimp, which are awesome. So then we went home, which meant more sims for me.
Today was a little interesting. In the morning, I logged onto UGA's grade roll website and entered in my students' grades. I gave out 6 Bs, 2 Cs, and an F. The rest of them were As. I had about 50-60 students or so. The F I gave was to a student that missed three months of class.
Remember those pics up there of Brandon? Well his hair is longer than mine now. Yep. I got a buzz cut. I like it, actually, but it will definitely take some time to get used to. Again, the salon was downtown so it was more of me driving. Hehe. Oh this jerk pulled in front of me to change lanes when the light turned green and I started speeding up. Grrrr. Later, when I picked up my brother from work, we went by Sonics to get a Strawberry Slushie. I havent had one of those in ages, so mmmmm. We got home, I played a bit of Sims, and then finally got around to watching those movies I rented Sunday. I wached Elektra, which was pretty good, I guess. The action was good, the plot was semi lacking, and the actors/actresses were hot. :)
So that's my big update. I probably left out a lot of stuff, but oh well. Cya in a few days. Phil
PS. The new DM banner looks really spiffy.

my books shipped yesterday! so I should get them by Saturday or Monday at the latest. Wheeeeeeee.
I dined with the common people today; I ate at the school cafeteria. Food was yum, eye candy was better. hehe. I had nachos with guacamole and sour cream, then later had some pasta with homestyle marinara sauce. Then for dessert I had this peaches and cream tart. I drank some of their water, but it tasted kinda sour-ish and it made me gag. lol
Treadmill running's been awesome lately. I would start slow, walking at a pace of 3 miles per hour the first two minutes, then go to 4 miles per hour for a minute, then go 5 miles per hour for about 6-8 minutes[or 6 if I feel like a really good sweat]. Then I'd pause the machine and get some water, rest for 10 secs or so, then go at it again. hehe.
My pantry and fridge has nearly been exhausted. So today I got my instant mashed potato box and made a serving and a half. I didn't have any milk either, so all I used was water. Anyhow, I put salt and tarragon in it and nuked it in the microwave. Then afterwards I saw some parmesan in my fridge so I sprinkled it on top. Yum.
I ate an orange today. A regular orange, not navels or tangerines. They're so hard to peel! And not very sweet. Ugh.
Oh yeah, my laptop adapter came today. Now my laptop doesnt flicker from oscillating from outlet power to battery power.
A big cockroach attacked me while I was chatting on MSN with Rhi today. I wanted to take a picture but it moved so fast. At first it was just crawling on the wall, then all of a sudden it jumped right at me. I screamed like a girl. And this was at about midnight so my roomie was sleeping. Hehe.
I couldn't find my keys earlier when I wanted to go to the gym to run on the threadmill so I looked around my bed. There were sunflower seed shells everywhere. I also found my old hat, which I've been looking for all week. I also found a few pencils and pens.

i've been awake for about 35 of the last 48 hours or so. Including the last 16 hours. Wheee. I had homework due today that I had to stay up for. lol.
I went to the bookstore today after I had indian food. [Yum] I was looking for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The book keeper there thought that book would be in the sports section for some reason. Shrug. I found the other Douglas Adams books in the sci-fi section, but no Hitchhiker. Ah well. I'll probably get it off Amazon....right now!
I think my laptop power adapter only likes to malfunction at night. At any other time it works fine.
Oh yeah, that night I got drunk, my zipper had a mind of its own. I had to zip up at least three times. I even put the flap down so that it would lock, but that didn't stop it from going down. Good thing my shirt tails were untucked and was rather long.
I got a papercut today. On my wrist. I said "F U CK" out loud and the person beside me looked up at me. "Got a papercut?" "Yeah. It stings."
Mike reintroduced me to art.com. Its fun. Here's two of my better drawings:
http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?if77fat0dx0 http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?if773zvxfv0
That's all for now. I think I need a nap. Yeah.
EDIT: Got the following books: Digital Fortress : A Thriller by Dan Brown The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams Angels & Demons by Dan Brown SIMON & SCHUSTER SUPER CROSSWORD BOOK #10 (Crossword Series , No 10)
